A group of teenagers trapped in the year 2112 on a recently formed planet stumble upon a secret entranceway to a very special location: the future.  When two of the boys disappear in a blinding flash of light, the others begin their search for them.  The two time travelers find themselves in a generation a century into the future where they meet the Hosgoths, a warlike race of mercenaries who make fortunes from enslaving Intergalactic travelers to work in the lidium-rich mines of the planet Salandra.

But now the travelers have another problem: they can’t return home.  They can't remain where they are, either, without risking enslavement to the Hosgoths.

What will they do? Where will they go? Assuming Dahl can find a way to tame the awesome power of the Titanium Time Portal, somewhere into the future.  What will they find there?  Only time will tell.

Synopsis:

The year: 2116.  A group of teenagers trapped on a recently formed planet stumble upon a well disguised entranceway to a very special location: the future.  When two of the boys from their Discovery and Research Exploration team disappear in a blinding flash of light, the others begin a frantic search for them.

The two time travelers find themselves in 2235, a century into the future.  There they meet the Hosgoths, a warlike race of mercenaries who make a fortune from enslaving Intergalactic travelers for working the lidium-rich minefields of the planet Salandra.

When the Hosgoths learn from the two travelers of the existence of a colony of young, healthy laborers just waiting to be captured and put to work in the mines, they set out to conquer the mysteries of the secret time tunnel.  Dahl and Reid learn of the Hosgoths' plan and stage a daring escape to warn their companions; but before they reach the tunnel entranceway, the remaining eight members of their colony pass through the tunnel, and the Hosgoths capture them.  Dahl and Reid must split up in order to free them.  Dahl sets out to travel back to the year 2116 to make an electronic "snare" to capture the Hosgoths and transfer them back to the past while Reid lays a plan to free the eight hostages.

Reid discovers the boys in a photon-ray cell—one wrong move and everyone will go up in a puff of smoke.  Seeking a way to free his companions, he stumbles upon a strange-looking android charged with keeping the official Salandrian records.  By activating the droid, he discovers the key behind the photon-ray structure.  Dismantling the robot, Reid constructs a crude photon phaser .  If he's correct in his thinking, crossing the phaser with the photon ray generator should neutralize the power and allow his companions to escape.

As the young Salandrians make their way to the time passageway, the Hosgoths follow in hot pursuit.  Dahl and Reid are reunited at the entranceway where they set the electronic snare.  Dahl ushers the young time traders into the temporary safety of a holding lock just seconds before triggering the snare.  As the Hosgoths race through the doorway, the snare whisks them through the time tunnel and back to the year 2006, where they will be trapped forever...or until they discover a way to break the seal to the future.

The young time travelers, safe at last from the Hosgoths, now discover a new problem: they can’t return home, for the Hosgoths took the Portal’s dimension accelerator with them when they were whisked back to the past.  Without it, the time tunnel can visit the same year only twice, and the boys have already used up both trips to 2116.

They can’t return to the future world of the Hosgoths, either, for there are others waiting there to enslave them.  Where will they go?  Assuming Dahl can find a way to harness the power of the time portal, somewhere into the future.  What will they find there?  Only time will tell.
