Debut Author Susan DiPlacido Enjoys Dual Book Release

Romantic title, Trattoria, hits bookstores this week while edgier 24/7 is due out shortly

Erie, PA March 8, 2005 -- Newly-minted author Susan DiPlacido announces the availability of her first novel, Trattoria, due in bookstores this week. Following closely behind is her second title, 24/7, due out the week after. Both novels have already received rave reviews from fans and industry insiders alike, ensuring DiPlacido of an exhilarating first run.

She explained, "It's been busy and stressful getting them both prepared for release, but the payoff is well worth it. Now that the hard work of writing is over, the real work of promotion begins."

DiPlacido’s first book, Trattoria, from Mundania Press, is a sexy, romantic chick lit title. When a family of siblings hires the new waiter at their restaurant to date their youngest sister, a comedy of errors unfolds. The novel is currently available for pre-order at Amazon and at Barnes and Noble online.

Her second novel, 24/7, from Zumaya Publications, is an edgier, darker book set in Sin City. "Vegas is a place that brings out the extreme in people, so it's an ideal setting for a novel," the author explained. "It's a more glamorous, but also by turns a grittier book."

In 24/7, a female card counter falls for a casino blackjack dealer, but as the love and action heat up, it's not clear who is getting played. The book will be available for pre-order within the next couple of weeks online and in stores.

Complete information about both novels can be found on the author's website at www.susandiplacido.com.

Author Susan DiPlacido Announces Writing Contest
For Vegas Vacation

Readers may purchase her novel, submit a short essay on Sin City, and enter to win a grand prize trip to Las Vegas.

Erie, PA (PRWEB) April 7, 2005 -- Author Susan DiPlacido announces a fun and unique writing contest for readers of her debut novel, “24/7.” From April 11 through October 30, 2005, readers may purchase her novel and submit a short essay on why they’d like to visit Las Vegas for a chance to win a grand prize trip to Sin City. The novel "24/7" from Zumaya Publications, a fast-paced and sexy chick-lit novel set primarily in Las Vegas, follows the story of a female card counter who falls for a charming blackjack dealer. Complete rules and details for the vacation essay contest are available at the author's website at www.susandiplacido.com.

"I wanted to do something fun to celebrate the good buzz and great reviews the novel has been getting," the author said. "Since it's a book about Vegas, there's no better way to heighten the experience than a trip to the city that inspired it."

All essays will be read and scored by Ms. DiPlacido. The writer of the highest scoring essay will receive the grand prize free trip to Las Vegas, including airfare, hotel vouchers and some extra spending cash. "You need a little extra in your wallet to really enjoy the city, especially if you're a first time gambler," the author explained. "And I wanted to make this as fun, flexible, and enjoyable as possible."

Upping the ante, the author offers readers a "double down, high roller" entry option—proof of purchase of her second novel, “Trattoria,” gives the entrant four essay entries rather than just one. “Trattoria,” a romantic comedy from Mundania Press, is also set in Las Vegas.

Both novels from the new author debuted in early March to rave reviews and are both available online at amazon.com. For more information, visit the author’s website at www.susandiplacido.com.
