writer of vast experience who has specialized in entertainment but

and published playwright. He served as the movie critic for
Fox Philadelphia on television for twelve years, for which he was
nominated for eight Emmy awards, winning three. For the last
decade, he has served as the movie critic for CBS's top-rated KYW
Newsradio in Philadelphia. He has also served as a book critic,
theater critic, and television critic for various publications.
In the last two years, he has published two books of nonfiction --
one on actor Johnny Depp, one on actress Salma Hayek -- for the
Young Adult market. He has written for such publications as the
Village Voice, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Philadelphia
Magazine, and has contributed thousands of articles, columns and
reviews to dozens of other publications and websites. He is
also a tenured Professor of Communication at La Salle University.
