Useful Internet Tools

by Don Bacue

Here are a few useful Internet accessible tools for marketing your books and creating new products. I discovered during last week's free Q&A call that many of you could use these services to create new products and market your books.

Audio Acrobat: http://johnkremer.audioacrobat.com - You can use this service to create your own podcasts, broadcast Internet radio shows, and other audio content simply by telephoning in, recording your message, and hitting the "send" button to syndicate your audio podcast to 27 podcast directories such as iTunes.  You can also create and send audio or video emails, post audio or video to your website with various players, and do lots more.  It costs $19.95 a month, which may be a bargain, depending upon your needs.  There is a 30-day free trial.

Blog Talk Radio: http://www.blogtalkradio.com - This is a  free Internet site that allows you to create your own Internet radio shows.

YouPublish.com: http://youpublish.com - YouPublish is a new online venture that Mark Victor Hansen and others are creating as a tool for selling downloadable products via an online
social network.  That could be good news for self-published authors.  It's a simple means of setting up a profile and selling e-books, audio files, software, and anything else that can be
downloaded via the Internet.  The author keeps 50 percent of all revenue.  You keep 50% of all sales.

Premium Book Company: http://www.premiumbookcompany.com - Brian Jud has just entered into a partnership with a premium rep group totaling some 1,800 commissioned sales people to create the Premium Book Company.  For $200, they'll put your book in a catalog and send it to all their reps, who then sell the books on a non-returnable basis to various sources.  The catalog deadline is July 1.
